Help us conduct a survey of the types of bags used by shoppers in about 20 grocery stores in Frederick County .  The results will be used to inform and advocate for plastic bag legislation this fall and next spring. The volunteers will observe and record shoppers’ bag choices for one hour at each store exit — reusable bags, plastic bags, paper bags, and unbagged merchandise. They will not be interacting with shoppers, just observing and recording. The work will be done on weekends mid-September to mid-October. If you’d like to volunteer to conduct the survey at a grocery store near you, please join us at a training session, which have been organized for each county:

Please register so we can plan the training accordingly!
