Sugar Loaf Mountain Hike-Sierra Club


About this event :

A moderate 5-mile hike on the Blue Trail of Sugarloaf Mountain, taking approximately 2.5 hours, including a short break at the White Rocks scenic viewing area. The trail is a bit rocky at times, and includes several significant hills. The hike is best for adults and children over 8. Beginners are welcome. Water and snacks are recommended, and binoculars would be helpful for better views of wildlife and distant scenery. Watch and listen for forest birds such as pileated woodpecker and red-shouldered hawk, along with migratory species of songbirds. Meet before 9:00 at the trailhead near the west view parking lot (left side lot) located up the mountain road nearing the summit.Sierra Club Hike
